Author Urges Readers to Take Control of Their Happiness

Wexford, Ireland (PRWEB) July 06, 2012

In his introduction, author Michael E. Morrison quotes Abraham Lincoln as saying people were just about as happy as they made up their minds to be. In his new book Prisoner of Words (published by Balboa Press) he explores the transformational power of language, and proves that he is exactly as happy as hes made up his mind to be.

We are living in a world of our own creation, Morrison writes. The employment of a word utilized has a huge bearing on the situation we can create for ourselves. Our words can create peace or drama in our lives. Most people due to an impoverished language landscape can only employ a handful of words to describe any and all situations.

An excerpt from Prisoner of Words:

Every thought and word has a power and unique vibration that carries a force so great that it can change us. It can be pure magic. Thoughts sculpt and shape our destiny. Words can allow us to express our thoughts. Every utterance we espouse is life changing. Every day we have the power to make a difference a kind word of appreciation; hello to a stranger; a humorous exchange of energies, or to say I love you to a loved one, a family member or friend. The more we express these simple words, the more love, laughter and lightness we attract back into our lives.

As Morrison summarizes, This book is my own journey in dealing with and coping with a genetic life threatening disease, cystic fibrosis, and how we can use the tools and techniques available to all of us to live a more graceful and peaceful existence.

About the Author

For over a quarter of a century, Michael E. Morrison was a robotic disciple of Western Medicine, relying on the latest wonder drug to treat his cystic fibrosis. He reached a nadir with conventional medicine when the head consultant referred to him as twiggy and he realized that the treatments were often making him worse, not better. He began looking at alternative therapies, which understood the totality of illness. He embarked on a spiritual journey, learning healing techniques to unlock the physician within. Morrison has appeared on national and local media in Ireland, sharing his story with the public.

Morrison is also the author of A Path Less Conventional.
